About you

You’re a self-driven, digital content all-rounder who is deeply passionate about solving the climate crisis and understands the role that business can play in this. You will have experience in a marketing, content or campaign management role, with specialist or expert knowledge of corporate sustainability and climate impacts. 

You’re an expert communicator and can captivate audiences, spark their imaginations, and move them towards taking bold action on climate in their workplace. You have the ability to think strategically and take the lead on projects. You know content marketing inside-out, and are able to develop and execute engaging digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

Success will depend on your collaboration and strong interpersonal skills, as you build relationships and campaigns with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

About The Role

WorkForClimate is on a mission to build a movement of climate influencers inside the global corporate sector. Through a combination of inspirational and educational content, cohort-based courses and coaching, and a thriving global community of climate-concerned professionals, WorkForClimate helps individuals to build business cases to influence their corporation to take rapid, significant action on climate.

The WorkForClimate Campaign Manager is responsible for integrating the WorkForClimate tools and digital infrastructure (Brand, Product, Content) across the Sunrise Project Global Finance campaigns in North America and Europe. You will be able to translate the strategic objectives of the Sunrise campaign into the WorkForClimate context: developing digital marketing assets to build an audience, bringing corporate professionals into our ecosystem of content and community, and organizing them to take action at work via our playbooks and cohort-based courses.

We support networks of organizations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organizations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to scale corporate employee climate engagement through the distribution of WorkForClimate platform content

  • Develop and implement digital campaigns to engage corporate staff to drive change within specific companies using the WorkForClimate brand and platform 

  • Create or commission content that delivers on Sunrise Project campaign objectives, while also aligning with the WorkForClimate Brand and Content Strategy, incorporating product and creative content, with a focus on driving subscribers and achieving impact (getting companies to achieve climate goals)

  • Collaborate with the WorkForClimate Director, and Sunrise teams to leverage the WorkForClimate platform across the Sunrise Project campaigns

  • Work as part of a close-knit team to build WorkForClimate into an inspiring and high-impact platform to drive corporate employee action globally.

Required skills and experience    

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role including unpaid, grassroots or lived experience;

  • Experience in a content, digital marketing or campaign communications role, with specialist or expert knowledge of corporate sustainability and climate impacts;

  • Ability to inspire teams and bring them on the WorkForClimate journey - to spark imagination about what is possible with the platform when working in conjunction with broader tactics;

  • Flexible disposition, happy to work outside areas of previous experience and happy to get stuck into laborious tasks when required

  • Strong familiarity with online marketing best practice

  • A passion for action on climate change and a commitment to social justice;

  • You must have full working rights for the USA.
