Freelance Quality Assurance Analyst

Responsible to: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Team: Product & Engineering

Rate: £325 per day, 4 working days per week (ideally Mon-Thurs)

Assignment period: 3 months (or until the end of March 2025, whichever is sooner)

Scope

• Working within a product squad to implement personalisation functionality on our front end application.

• Validating product behaviour of new features from a user perspective and improving feature definitions by providing a QA perspective.

• Create and maintain thorough documentation to ensure a smooth handover at the end of the contract’s term.

• Support work across the product team and take on other general responsibilities as required, specifically aiding QA capacity when required.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

• Knowledge of testing web or mobile-based applications, including exploratory testing, triaging bug reports, identifying common threads in multiple bug reports, and creating well-structured bug reports with appropriate evidence and steps to reproduce.

• An understanding of accessibility concerns for web applications, and how to assess them.

• The ability to design tests and work without test scripts or formal specifications.

• An Agile mindset and familiarity with creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, working in sprints and CI/CD.
