Freelance Quality Assurance Analyst
Responsible to: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Team: Product & Engineering
Rate: £325 per day, 4 working days per week (ideally Mon-Thurs)
Assignment period: 3 months (or until the end of March 2025, whichever is sooner)
Scope
Working within a product squad to implement personalisation functionality on our front end application.
Validating product behaviour of new features from a user perspective and improving feature definitions by providing a QA perspective.
Create and maintain thorough documentation to ensure a smooth handover at the end of the contract’s term.
Support work across the product team and take on other general responsibilities as required, specifically aiding QA capacity when required.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
Knowledge of testing web or mobile-based applications, including exploratory testing, triaging bug reports, identifying common threads in multiple bug reports, and creating well-structured bug reports with appropriate evidence and steps to reproduce.
An understanding of accessibility concerns for web applications, and how to assess them.
The ability to design tests and work without test scripts or formal specifications.
An Agile mindset and familiarity with creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, working in sprints and CI/CD.
