Job Description

About Us

At the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), we believe teaching is a fundamental societal good - a privilege, a responsibility and one of the most powerful ways to shape the future. Our programmes are created by teachers and leaders who understand the reality of school life, and we work with schools across the country to help great teaching reach even further.

Now we’re looking for a creative, curious and commercially minded Marketing Manager to join our Engagement and Impact team during a period of maternity cover, due to start in early January until approximately November 2027. You’ll help bring our programmes, research and story to life- reaching the teachers and leaders who can turn that work into real impact.

 About the role

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced campaign marketer who loves turning insight into action. You’ll combine sharp storytelling with confident use of data, working with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

As Marketing Manager, you’ll take campaigns from first spark to final result. Working with our external digital agency, you’ll design and deliver end-to-end recruitment marketing that cuts through, connects with the right audiences and helps our programmes thrive.

No two days will look quite the same. One moment you might be shaping a national campaign; the next, exploring performance data, refining our brand or working with programme teams to uncover the story that will inspire someone to take their next step.

The role is hybrid, with the majority of your time spent working from home and the opportunity to connect with colleagues in person at one of our campuses around once a fortnight.

If you enjoy variety, collaboration and the chance to make a visible difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date: 5 November 2026

Interview date: 12 and 13 November
