Our Opportunity:
We have an opening for a Production Engineer on our US Production Engineering team. This position is in Denver, Colorado, and reports to the Team Lead, Production Engineering. This role manages production and artificial lift optimization for 300+ wells. In this role, you will work closely with the reservoir, facilities, and well-servicing teams to meet production forecasts and deliver on Enerplus’ annual production goals. We are looking for individuals who enjoy identifying innovative technologies and applying existing technologies to enhance well performance. Key accountabilities will include reviewing/justifying operation expenses, preparing economic evaluations, analyzing well failures, completing workover designs, and monitoring/reviewing well performance. The successful candidate(s) will apply their multi-disciplinary knowledge to work closely with our Facilities, Completions, Drilling, Marketing, and Reservoir groups and collaborate with field operators to optimize wells for maximum netback. Fluency in programs such as Rodstar, XBAL, XSPOC, Wellview, Aries, PowerBI, and Tableau would be an asset. Experience in Production Engineering is preferred, and solid operations experience is required. The ideal candidate(s) will be highly motivated and have excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Monitoring production
Downtime reduction
Tracking and reducing lease operating expenses (LOE)
Failure frequency
Chemical
AFE (authorization for expenditures) generation
Workover design and procedures
Artificial lift systems optimization and rod up
CAPEX handoff
Reviewing well forecasts
Monitoring regulatory requirements
Plug and abandonments
Providing engineering support for field personnel
What You Bring to The Role:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical)
Up to five years of experience in Production Engineering
Working knowledge of operations, gas lift, ESP, jet pump and rod pump artificial lift types.
Proficiency in production software programs.
Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
Energetic, positive attitude, and optimistic outlook.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
