Job Description

Work with the wider Engagement Team to design and deliver the visual aspects (videography, photography and design) of BUCS’ marketing and communication campaigns to increase engagement with stakeholders including students, members and fans, to raise BUCS’ profile and drive revenue.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Videography and Photography

  • Capture photos and edit photos at BUCS sport and non-sport events (e.g., Surf Championships, BUCS Conference and BUCS Football Accredited Member Services events).

  • Capture video footage at BUCS sport and non-sport events to produce both short and long-form videos for different platforms as required (e.g., Swimming Championships, BUCS and FA Women’s Leadership Programme).

  • Edit video footage to produce both short and long-form videos for different platforms as required.

2. Graphic Design

  • Provide high-quality and engaging graphic design assets and short-form videos, to be used across BUCS digital channels.

  • Create and present new concepts to the Marketing and Communications Manager and execute where appropriate.

  • Create infographics to evidence the impact of our work to stakeholders, such as The FA.

  • Work with the Engagement and Football Development Teams to turn creative briefs into marketing materials, such as infographics, reports and brochures, liaising with internal stakeholders.

  • Create engaging graphics and imagery for multi-channel campaigns, targeting members, students and other key stakeholders.

  • Create engaging shorts form and long-form videos, and graphics, to develop content for students with our commercial partners.

3. Livestream

  • Manage the livestream of BUCS fixtures and events.

  • Manage and maintain regular reports on livestream performance, to provide insight for internal and external audiences.

  • Work with the wider Engagement Team to deliver our social and livestream content strategy for in-person events e.g., BUCS Nationals, BUCS Big Wednesday.

 4. Other

  • Manage and develop relationships with BUCS staff.

  • Undertake duties as can be reasonably expected to ensure the smooth running of BUCS.

  This role may involve weekend and evening work and overnight stays at BUCS events.
