Job Description

2 Year Fixed Term Contract

As the Trusts and Foundations Officer within the Major Giving team you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships with new and existing funders. This will involve researching new opportunities, overseeing approaches for support and managing reporting requirements. This is a new role, and you will be joining at an exciting time of expansion of and investment in SSAFA's fundraising activities.

About the team

The Major Giving Team is a small welcoming and diverse group of individuals who are keen to learn from others, as well as share their insight and experience. Your work will cross-pollinate with other colleagues in the team who work across trusts and foundations, major donors and statutory funders. You will also collaborate closely with other teams in service delivery.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a clear understanding of trust and foundation fundraising and have experience of successful communication. You will have a clear interest in the development of relationships with funders and seeking of new opportunities.

Working directly with the Trusts Manager and collaboratively with the Major Giving Team and wider Fundraising team from time to time, the role is key to the success of the increase in the income within the team. The need to work independently and be a self-motivator is important.

About SSAFA

SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. We are here for that person – any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us.
