About the role
The Marketing Campaigns Manager is responsible for delivering our flagship campaign, Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, which takes place each November to shine a spotlight on careers in engineering and technology. You will also lead and support on a range of engagement campaigns for both our schools and B2B/corporate audiences to help meet organisational targets, raise the profile of our work and drive targeted engagement.
In this varied role, the Marketing Campaigns Manager will work across the marketing and communications mix promoting many elements of our work, such as EUK Education for our schools audience and The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code for our corporate audience. This will include leading/supporting on campaign design and planning, content development, marketing, communications, press/PR, monitoring, budget management, campaign evaluation and reporting.
Reporting to the Media and External Communications Manager, you will work with communications colleagues and project teams to develop and/or deliver engaging content and high impact marcomms campaigns.
The role is London based at the EngineeringUK offices at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a baseline of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and core hours of 10am to 4pm.
Role responsibilities
· Lead the flagship Tomorrow’s Engineers Week campaign, including working with others to develop, promote and deliver an engagement activity for schools, stakeholder engagement and wider PR activity
· Lead or support owned omnichannel campaigns to reach organisational targets, including for programme recruitment (schools) and stakeholder engagement (for example, Big Bang and The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code)
· Leverage external campaigns and awareness days to reach new audiences and drive engagement with EngineeringUK messaging and content (for example, National Apprenticeship Week and International Women in Engineering Day)
· Support press and PR activity across the breadth of EngineeringUK campaigns, including The Big Bang Competition
· Develop hardworking digital content to drive engagement online, search, on socials and in subscriber communications
· Proactive digital PR to support SEO, social profile and digital news presence
· Work in line with EngineeringUK values and support achievement of our organisational objectives
· Undertake any training and development as required for the role
· Any other duties and tasks as directed and required by your line manager

Person specification
Essential skills/competencies
· Proven experience of planning and activating integrated marcomms campaigns that deliver high audience engagement, including monitoring, analysis and reporting
· Experience of supporting PR campaigns and press office activity, including reporting on coverage and reach
· Experience in creating digital marketing content, including working with external design agencies
· A solid understanding and experience in digital communications, including socials, SEO and creating and editing web content via a CMS
· Strong attention to detail, ensuring work is high quality and delivered on time and to budget
· Commitment to our mission and values, you will be able to engage with our values and work in a way that supports our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
Education/level of experience
· A professional marketing or communications qualification is desirable but not essential for this role
· Experience with education, skills and/or careers related issues would be helpful but not essential
· This role would suit candidates with a few years of solid, multichannel campaigns experience, including some experience as the campaign lead
