Turn2us gives people the information and support they need in the face of life-changing events and collaborates to tackle the causes and symptoms of poverty. It is essential that we measure our impact, celebrate our successes, and learn from our mistakes, so that we can continue to improve our work in the future. This role will be integral to helping us do that.

 Purpose of the Role

 The Impact Analyst will be responsible for the evaluation and impact measurement for a new Covid Response Programme within Turn2us. The Covid Response Programme is being set up to offer targeted, integrated grants and information programme to build the financial resilience of people who are in financial difficulty due to Covid-19. We believe that by integrating our grant making and information we can have greater impact for people financially affected by Covid-19. To deliver this Covid Response Programme, we will work in partnership with local charities who are supporting people with the financial and social impacts of Covid-19.

 The purpose of the Impact Analyst role will be to implement a user-led evaluation plan for the programme and to set up processes that encourage continuous learning across Turn2us and project partner organisations, as we develop the project. The role will also manage the day-to-day measurement and monitoring of impact data for the project.

 Although technical skills are required to perform this role, an open and inclusive approach to evaluation and impact is also essential. We believe that deep knowledge and understanding is created through discussion between people. We are looking for someone who can support colleagues at Turn2us and partner organisations to learn from, and improve, our work.

 The Impact Analyst will also work to include people with lived experience of financial hardship in the evaluation of our programme work. By working in partnership with people with lived experience, Turn2us’s strategy, services and outcomes will more fully reflect what people need. We particularly welcome applications from anyone who has their own lived experience of poverty, or financial hardship.

 Key Responsibilities

 1.    Implement a user-led monitoring and evaluation plan for the Covid Response Programme, which captures learnings and incorporates data and peoples’ lived experiences to inform ongoing service improvement, advocacy, and learning

 2.    Support the programme team and partner organisations to evaluate their own work and help to set up continuous learning mechanisms within Turn2us, and between organisations

 3.    Lead on day-to-day delivery of impact measurement and reporting for the project including KPIs, impact reports, and benchmarking our work

 4.    Ensure safeguarding processes are followed in the course of data & information gathering, and evaluation

Person Specification

 This person specification lists a range of skills, knowledge, experience, and personal attributes which would be beneficial in this role.  Skills and knowledge:

 -       Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and write accurate, concise materials and reports

-       Research skills with the ability to conduct user interviews and focus groups

-       Interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with staff and service users

-       Ability to handle and analyse numerical data

-       Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver tasks to agreed deadlines

 Experience:

 -       Experience of planning and implementing a range of quantitative and qualitative evaluation programmes

-       Experience of research methodology, principles, and procedures

-       Experience of designing and delivering learning programmes

-       Experience of evaluating multi-agency or multi-partnership models

-       Experience of working in partnership with people with lived experience

-       Understanding of safeguarding

-       Understanding of social justice issues including equity, diversity, disability, race and gender
