Job Description

About you

  • You are looking for a Business Development Representative role in a growing startup where you can make a tangible impact building the sales pipeline

  • You are passionate about prospecting 

  • You have a competitive and positive attitude

  • You are comfortable building customer touch points across all digital communication channels 

  • You will be passionate about learning and technology, respond well to working with a variety of teams and have the commercial acumen to identify opportunities that will eventually lead to an increase in product revenue

  • You are experienced with CRM software and can fashion opportunities within it

  • You are keen to be part of a scaling technology business that is disrupting a slow-moving industry (learning & development)

  • You’re organised, have great attention to detail and will balance a drive to achieve results and get things done with pushing for high quality work

Key responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential customers for Filtered

  • You will use your skills / experience to represent Filtered as the first point of contact

  • Attracting new contacts to consider our product as a viable learning technology for their organisation

  • You will collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted lists and to qualify inbound leads generated, whilst also working on your own book of contacts to book qualifying meetings for the sales team 

  • Work with marketing to create sector-specific campaigns, generating effective target data leading to leads

  • Promotion of the Filtered brand at relevant industry events

  • Research and awareness of the challengers our product has and be prepared to objectively state why our product is a better solution for your prospects or clients 

  • Utilise industry knowledge to research & develop accounts, identify key players and generate interest

  • Learn and maintain knowledge of the platform, track, and report on all activities and results using HubSpot

Key skills & requirements

Required

  • At least two years’ experience working in a targeted sales role, ideally for a SaaS company or transferable commercial experience 

  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise to work productively and efficiently 

  • Ambitious and goal-orientated 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build rapport and trust quickly to develop long-term relationships leading to commercial opportunities 

  • Capability to nurture a pipeline, built by marketing and own prospecting, leading to qualified meetings
