Job Description

This is a key role in the PRI’s Americas Markets team supporting signatory relations and engagement across the West Coast of the United States. The role centres on engaging signatories, supporting investors in their responsible investment journeys, and delivering high-quality events, communications, and educational initiatives.

The role reports to the Head, North America and collaborates closely with US-based colleagues as well as global PRI teams, while also building on existing relationships with investors and other actors in the sustainable finance ecosystem in the region to advance shared priorities. This is a remote role with occasional in person meetings or travel as needed.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of local and regional events and communications — including webinars, workshops, and roundtables — that help signatories deepen their capabilities. This will include collaboration with colleagues and leading delivery on some events.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with key industry stakeholders across the US, including collaborating on joint initiatives, events, and thought leadership activities.

• Engage with existing and prospective signatories, contributing to delivery of the team’s business plan and strategic objectives.

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for signatories, providing timely, high-quality responses and coordinating with colleagues to ensure meaningful engagement with the PRI, its reporting, global programming, and thought leadership.

• Support the onboarding of new signatories, helping them understand PRI’s expectations, tools, and resources from day one.

• Represent PRI at relevant industry events, helping raise the organisation’s profile and showcasing leading research, guidance, and initiatives.

• Support signatories in navigating PRI’s annual reporting processes.

• Maintain thorough, accurate signatory records and provide consistent updates on engagement activities, ensuring data quality and smooth internal coordination.

• Support the Head of North America in delivering against the team’s business plan and budget.

• Provide regular reporting to the Head of North America, Director of Americas, and Chief Markets Officer as required.

Person Specification

• Strong understanding of responsible investment, the institutional investor context, and the finance industry at large in the United States and globally

• Deep familiarity with core responsible investment themes, including climate, human rights, nature and other emerging sustainability priorities that are material to financial outcomes

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with diverse audiences

• Very good programme management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects successfully

• A proactive, self-driven working style, with the ability to operate autonomously in a hybrid or remote environment and demonstrate strong accountability and sound decision making.

• A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & committed to fostering an inclusive environment 

• Demonstrates a commitment to developing others and a growth mindset, actively pursuing continuous profession and personal development

• Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships at a senior level

• Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills

• IT/Digital skills (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, FormAssembly, Asana, etc.)

• This role involves working remotely, with in-person meetings and signatory engagement as needed. As this is a global role, travel may be required (within the US every couple of months; and possibly 1-2 international trip per year)

• Language skills, other than English, are desirable
