The Runnymede Trust
- Closing: 11:59pm, 6th Apr 2025 BST
Job Description
About us:
The Runnymede Trust is the UK’s leading race equality think tank. We generate research to challenge racial inequality in Britain.
For more than 50 years, we have worked tirelessly to build a Britain in which we all belong. Proudly independent, we speak truth to power on race and racism without fear or favour. We are not swayed by political agenda, profit or popular opinion. We are authentic, led by an ethnically diverse team we draw from our lived experience and that of our wide and inclusive community and partnership networks.
About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Digital Manager to develop the Runnymede Trust’s social media, brand and visual identity.
The Digital Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our digital strategy across all our platforms, with the aim to reach new, younger, audiences and cement the organisation as a well known anti-racism charity. You will be responsible for creating engaging visual content (including video), managing our digital and social media platforms, supporting the planning and delivery of digital campaigns, and strategising and executing creative digital communications plans for our projects and wider brand.
The ideal candidate will be a storyteller, experienced in producing high-quality and high-impact digital and video content, with an eye for emerging trends and a deep understanding of social media. We’re looking for someone who is deeply committed to racial justice, with a strong understanding of how digital tools can drive lasting change.
Responsibilities and main duties:
Digital Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy that enables the organisation’s broader strategy, focusing on expanding new audiences, increasing engagement, awareness, and empathy for racial justice.
Manage digital campaigns that drive awareness, support and donations.
Content Creation:
Translate the organisation’s research outputs into compelling video, graphic and written content, ensuring digital content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with the organisation’s tone, for use across our social media platforms, email newsletters, website, and other digital channels.
Social Media Management:
Manage and grow the charity’s social media presence across platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Develop a social media calendar, track performance, and optimise strategies based on analytics.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build a community around the organisation.
Website & User Experience:
Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of the charity’s website to ensure it’s user-friendly and up-to-date.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Track, analyse, and report on the performance of all digital campaigns and activities, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Use analytics tools to monitor website traffic, social media engagement, and email open/click rates.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with other teams to integrate digital strategies across all our project work, with storytelling and impact at the core.
Build relationships with digital influencers, organisations and other external stakeholders to expand the reach of the organisation’s digital efforts.
