Job Description
As a result of receiving restricted funding to support the development of the Green Party Digital Team, we are currently seeking a Database Administrator. As a key member of the team, you will have a unique opportunity to bring together the party’s systems and shape our campaigning future.
Collaborating closely with our Finance, Membership, Fundraising and Field teams, you will be responsible for key data inside our existing SaaS platforms and work on the development of bespoke campaigning systems for use throughout the party.
You will have a keen eye for detail and interested in how data can be used by political parties to help augment campaigning on the ground and online.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
Outline of the Database Administrator role:
1. Collate and upload data on registered voters from local authorities across England and Wales.
2. Augment our bespoke systems with open datasets from Ordnance Survey, the Office for National
Statistics and others.
3. Assist with data for the development of our voter engagement platform in collaboration with the
Software Developer, Digital Manager, the wider Digital Team, the Elections Managers and our
volunteer programmers.
4. Proactively monitor data flows between our systems and provide remediation for issues as they arise.
5. Liaise with the Finance Team to reconcile payments via third-party providers.
6. Work with the Membership Team to ensure member and supporter data remains accurate across all
party systems.
7. Collaborate with the Elections Manager and Field Team to ensure councillor, candidate and election
data is kept up to date.
8. Respond to and resolve relevant support requests in line with SLAs.
9. Assist the wider team during peak times, e.g. during the General Election campaign.
10. Working with other members of the organisation, design and document processes.
