Ipsos

Job Description
Start Date - ASAP
Are you looking to start and develop your career in one of the world’s largest Research Organisations?
We are looking to grow our talented team of market understanding research specialists.
We partner with our clients to help them understand the vast consumer landscape in which they operate. By bringing them closer to what their consumers (or potential consumers) think, how they feel, what they want and how they behave, we unlock insights which inspire our clients’ business strategies. We work collaboratively with clients to help shape how to deliver the products and services that people want, and how to optimise their portfolio and position their brands in such a way as to maximise growth potential.
Our experts have a wealth of knowledge and some tried and tested approaches that we can use in our surveys and analysis. However, in this team, no two projects are the same, so we thrive on being creative, challenging each other and working as a team to design something bespoke to deliver precisely what the clients need. This highly collaborative way of working means that you can make a valuable contribution from the very beginning of your career and will continue to learn and develop for many years.
Our job is to be bold and creative using our imagination to inspire our clients by bringing life to the world in which their brands operate, to help them develop and position compelling brands and products. We are looking for graduates from any degree discipline to join us and embrace a career in research
Your Role:
As a Graduate Research Executive joining the team you will be encouraged to take responsibility from the outset, working on live commercial projects across a variety of clients and sectors and being a core, and valued, part of the team. Specifically, you will:
Start with a tailored induction programme specifically introducing you to Market Strategy and Understanding research. These interactive sessions will be delivered by the team’s experts
Receive training that will cover all the core skills needed to be a successful researcher, providing you with a full understanding of your role in the project lifecycle, from designing a project to delivering the final presentation or workshop. This also includes a rotation in our Project Management team, where you will learn all the core project management skills to run projects successfully.
Design and deliver research projects from inception to delivery alongside your team members
Support the team in winning work with our clients through contributing ideas and writing content to help create compelling proposals
Work closely with the team to deliver impactful end to end quantitative research from set-up, design and execution of projects
Help create insightful presentations and join discussions with clients on these to help them digest the findings and their implications.
About You:
We are looking for…
A natural curiosity about the world we live in and an intrigue for consumer behaviour
A passion for understanding consumers, products and brands with real desire to know how people behave and why they behave in the ways that they do. We explore all aspects of consumer life from food and beverage consumption, through opinions of reduced risk smoking products, attitudes towards sexual wellbeing and the environment, to their use and opinion of financial services.
The ability to work creatively and think commercially, a willingness to ask questions and contribute actively to discussions from the outset
Thrive in a team environment working collaboratively with colleagues to delight clients
Strong attention to detail and a love of analysing and exploring data.
A drive to not just deliver facts, but to question and interpret those to understand the “so what?” and the “now what?”
Effective interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively working with many people and cultures
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively
The unrestricted right to work in the UK
