Job Description

Please note: Benefits and perks may vary based on role and location. For full details of the benefits associated with this position, please refer to the information at the bottom of the Job Description.

Little Moons are frozen and chilled mochi, a fusion of Eastern and Western cuisine – soft and chewy rice flour dough wrapped around balls of ice cream, cheesecake, or chocolate ganache to create a distinctive, bite-sized, and delicious dessert that’s bursting with flavour.

Their rollout across Europe has been pioneered by sister and brother duo Vivien and Howard Wong, who founded Little Moons in 2010.  The product’s roots are in high-end restaurants, but over the last five years retail packs have swept the ice cream category in grocery and food service.

Little Moons has rapidly established mochi, and snacking ice cream, across Europe. In 2024 we generated more than £60m revenue, and in 2025 we continue to drive towards double digit growth. We are also now a Certified B Corporation, which reflects our strong commitment to balancing profit and purpose. This certification means we are part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact, reinforcing our dedication to making a meaningful difference.

We are very proud of the culture that we have built at Little Moons. Not to stroke our own egos, but we are a great bunch of people—smart, passionate, interesting, and funny—who work hard to support and live our values, all the while keeping our mission in our forethoughts.

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Junior HR Advisor to join our HR team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who has gained some strong HR administrative experience and is looking to take the next step in their HR career. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the full employee life cycle, providing HR administrative support while also gaining exposure to employee relations, policy implementation, and HR advisory responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing your hands-on HR experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the ongoing success of the HR function. You will assist in HR operations, support managers with HR queries, and help drive employee engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be super personable and mega organised, a real people person who loves to build relationships with individuals at all levels. A positive and ‘can – do,’ attitude is essential for this role with the ability to thrive in an ever developing and rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR administrative support, including maintaining the employee database systems, arranging meetings and appointments, and handling HR inbox queries

  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality including right to work documentation across the business

  • Answer enquiries from internal employees, managers, and candidates regarding HR policies, processes, and job vacancies at your site

  • Have a hands-on approach when dealing with factory worker enquires

  • Lead onboarding for new employees at your relevant site, ensuring a seamless and exciting introduction to the business to set them up for success

  • Assist with general HR reporting, including ownership of weekly and monthly data reporting on HR KPIs for your site

  • Assist in managing employee relations cases, including notetaking in meetings, drafting correspondence, and maintaining accurate case records

  • Take ownership of HR Surgeries with creative delivery

  • Support absence management processes, including tracking attendance, monitoring trends, and ensuring compliance with policies

  • Assist in planning for performance management processes

  • Support the People Team in HR-related activities, including data collection, presentations using Excel and PowerPoint, and any ad-hoc tasks

  • Contribute to the business’ Sustainability strategy by delivering your Brighter Future Sustainability objectives

  • Support the Site Leadership Teams in all core HR activities, including health & safety, learning & development, engagement, and absenteeism

  • Assist in the recruitment, retention, and engagement of factory workers across both LHQ and Unit 3, ensuring a positive employee experience

  • Support factory Townhalls by providing HR-related updates and fostering open communication with employees

  • Promote employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and motivation programmes

  • Collaborate with leaders and other support functions to enhance the overall employee experience at both factory sites

  • Support with management of office supplies

  • Ensure an on-site HR presence at four days a week to foster employee support and build relationships across your site

  • Contribute to the Brighter Future Sustainability Strategy and company's linked OKRs. Support your function and any direct report(s) to contribute too.

Essential Requirements:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional employee experiences.

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or HR Assistant role with a strong interest in progressing within HR

  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance on HR policies and processes while maintaining confidentiality

  • Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, as well as candidates at all levels

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with HR systems such as PeopleHR (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential

  • Ability to support employee relations processes, including note-taking in meetings and maintaining accurate records

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders

  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with people at all levels across the business including leadership and HR colleagues to enhance the employee experience

  • Willingness to be on-site a minimum of four days a week to provide HR support and foster engagement across the business
