Job Description

Job title: OOH Commercial Executive

Department: UK&I Sales

Location: Flexible hybrid working, 2 days in office (Farringdon), 2 days visiting customers & 1 day working from home

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role: 

Little Moons is looking for a new OOH Commercial Exec to join an experienced and high performing OOH team. Reporting into the Head of OOH, this is a role with strong growth opportunities. As Commercial Exec you will support the OOH team in activating, sampling in and building account relationships across our catering and wholesale channels. You will work to maximise commercial relationships and grow the Little Moons brand. Our ambition is to be a Top 5 ice cream brand in 2024 and you will need to feel comfortable dealing with a range of people and challenges to grow our branded distribution & foodservice accounts successfully. This role offers an opportunity to learn and develop alongside a high-performing team, with ambitions to dive into winning new business with a leading challenger brand. This role will be based at Little Base in Farringdon and will require regular travel to key & potential customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Owning and managing our key on-site catering end customers – catering managers, site leads, head chefs etc. for CH&Co, Sodexo, Compass etc.

  • Winning new distribution with key wholesalers in your area. This includes running rara days at customer deports, ride-alongs to meet key MSO’s and retailers

  • Support and execute the Wholesale & OOH in-year strategy to support the overall business objectives

  • Understand the end customer needs, their strategy and how we align/support this as well as understanding macro-trends effecting their category and the wider industry

  • Build relationships within the wider matrix of key retailers- e.g. buyers, store owners, dotcom team, merchandising team, supply chain etc.

  • Working closely with 3rd party partners to ensure sample deliveries and freezer placements go smoothly

  • Develop new business opportunities – we have leads for days!

  • Build & maintain strong working relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders

  • Effectively communicate across all levels via presentations & proposals

  • Contribute to the business’ Sustainability strategy by delivering your Brighter Future Sustainability objectives

Essential Requirements:

  • 6-12 months experience in a sales/commercial role in the food/drink industry

  • Confidence in selling to new customers and working independently (with the support of an experienced team)

  • Basic commercials but with an interest to grow and develop

  • Able to demonstrate a can-do attitude

  • Preferably able to demonstrate sales success through targeted activations (pop-ups, merchandising etc.)

  • Preferably launched NPD into existing accounts

  • Preferably worked within a cross functional & strategic organisation / SME

  • Commercially literate

  • Can think both strategically and operate in a 'hands on' manner.

  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a leading FMCG brand
