Disclosure Level: Basic. This role involves no direct or indirect work with children.
Reports to: Head of Digital
Location: Working from home and at 1 Westfield Avenue, London, E20 1HZ.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Information & Technology department aims to connect, protect and empower our organisation, people and stakeholders to deliver value for children. The Digital Team shapes and delivers the public engagement and digital strategies, partnering with the business to deliver supporter engagement and digital fundraising capabilities that enhance the supporter experience and drive income growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Online Platforms Product Owner leads all our exceptional supporter-centric interactions, across UNICEF UK’s websites and online platforms.
This role is responsible for delivering priority digital technology projects and managing our ongoing the web optimisation programme. You will also support teams across UNICEF UK, challenging them to think strategically from the perspective of our supporters, on the most effective way to use digital platforms in a manner that allows us to achieve our strategic objectives.
What we will expect you to achieve
Work in close partnership with key roles within the Marketing team, to provide a cohesive and multi-disciplinary approach to our online platforms.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts from across the organisation, including Public Engagement, Advocacy, UK Programmes, Supporter Care, Data & Analytics and Strategy teams to understand their needs and agree priorities.
Collaborate with team members to champion supporter focused approaches, such as customer journey mapping, empathy mapping, voice of supporter, and user testing across the organisation as part of campaign and product development.
Drive continuous improvement of our owned digital platforms to more effectively reach, connect and convert new audiences, and deepen engagement with existing supporters.
Lead and manage A/B testing and CRO programme aligned with organisational priorities, and supporter pain-points across owned platforms.
Lead key aspects of change related to organisational priorities, or cross-organisational development, from inception of that change to managing its delivery and all stakeholder expectations, communications and engagement.
Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, which will involve maintaining continuous improvement; maintaining platform development backlog, working efficiently with agencies and stakeholder teams and also, managing all budgets and compliance requirements.
Identify capability or capacity gaps and work with teams to prioritise and address them.
Use analytics, audience and brand insight/research to develop more effective, stand out interactions. This will include working with the Data & Analytics team to monitor site analytics, surfacing insight and recommendations.
Collaborate with the Marketing teams to inform development and ensure consistency across our owned channels and brand assets.
Be occasionally available out of hours and on weekends to support the annual Soccer Aid event and so that in the case of an emergency UNICEF UK can respond quickly.

Relevant Experience
Management of a range of online platforms/products/services.
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams, cross organisational projects and external stakeholders to drive change and achieve results.
Delivered website/app development lifecycle and associated processes
Can show evidence of using audience data and insight to drive decision making.
Specific Skills
Google Analytics, experimentation platforms, WordPress CMS, AWS, good understanding of HTML/CSS, knowledge of how digital technology affects website management and content creation.
Specific Knowledge
Knowledge of online user experience disciplines including journey planning, user experience, information architecture, and digital content development (writing, editing, SEO principles).
