Job Description

Hastings Green Party is building on its track record of getting councillors elected. We have ambitious plans to be the biggest party on the Hastings Borough Council in May 2024. In 2021 we elected our first Green Councillor, in 2022 we became a group of 5 taking the council into No Overall Control. This year we are defending 2 seats and targeting a further 10 seats, a mix of Labour and Conservative held at present with view a view to being the largest party on the council.

We are now seeking to recruit a motivated Campaign Organiser to oversee our election campaigns for the local elections in 2024, focussing particularly on supporting our teams and helping recruit new volunteers, leading on developing ward teams and drafting and co-ordinating election literature.

The Campaign Organiser will play a key role in ensuring that volunteer resources within the local party are well managed and focused on targeting to win elections. They will work with small teams in our target wards to identify needs and priorities, build capacity, provide training and guidance, and contribute to the delivery of our election strategy, supporting delivery of the campaign and fundraising.

We are looking for a person who has solid experience of election campaigns, strong organisational and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload and to prioritise tasks.

For an informal discussion or queries please contact regional (SE) Field Organiser Claudia Fisher via claudia.fisher@greenparty.org.uk
