Job Description

About Us

Proton.ai is revolutionizing wholesale distribution. Distributors sell nearly every physical good you come across. Key to the economy, they make up over 28% of GDP. But there’s a problem. Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of complicated SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. Proton cuts through this complexity with AI. We provide a cutting edge solution that modernizes distributors' sales efforts. In doing so, we fulfill our mission of helping distributors better serve their customers while guaranteeing that hardworking people can use technology, rather than being squeezed out by it.

Delivering a great product with proven value that’s loved by our customers requires a tremendous team effort. At Proton, critical to our mission of sustainable growth is an intensely focused endeavour to build happy, fulfilled teams who take pride in the long term impact of their work. If you want to join a team that is invested in creating technology that improves the working lives of its customers, we’d love to hear from you.

Our company is in hyper growth mode. We’ve grown >6X YoY. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time to join the Proton.ai team

The Role:

You will partner with an engineering team lead to lead a product development pod of engineers and designers in building new and improving existing features for our customers. You will have autonomy to plan and structure your team's work and will be accountable for reporting outcomes back to the rest of the team. You will work through challenging problems and make difficult product decisions with deep knowledge of the data, and outstanding empathy for the customer's experience.

Your Impact:

You will be joining our product team at an exciting moment when you'll have the ability to make a large impact on the product as well as building processes for the way we work together as a team. You will have complete ownership over your features and the ability to make a big impact for our users, who have been mostly underserved by the tech industry. The best feeling is when we get feedback that we have made their jobs easier, and as a Product Manager you will have the opportunity to feel that impact all the time.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Talk to users, managers, and other stakeholders at our customers to uncover problems and understand their context

  • Gather requirements and write product specs

  • Build clarity for your team

  • Create and own the roadmap for your team

  • Develop processes that help the product team scale

You’ll be a great fit for this role if:

  • You have 2+ years Product Management Experience

  • You have experience working at a small and/or scaling startup or have worked on enterprise SaaS products

  • You are a systems thinker who can make sense of multiple inputs for yourself and others

  • Have empathy for our customers - understand and prioritize their needs via user feedback, user research, experimentation, and data

  • Value collaboration and can work cross-functionally across the organization to translate ideas into reality

Benefits

This is a full-time remote position: Competitive salary $115k (United States—cost of living adjusted for other countries), plus equity, health benefits (we pay 99%), 401k and a generous vacation policy.

Our Hiring Process

At Proton.ai, we assess candidates using an unbiased and thoughtful process. We ask questions directly related to the work you will be doing. Resumes are optional. They are not the focus of our selection process.
