About Us

Driven by a passion to solve the climate crisis, The Sunrise Project is a team of experienced change-makers with a mission to scale social movements to drive the global transition beyond fossil fuels. With affiliated programs and staff in Australia, Europe and Asia, we have developed a unique model of grant making and campaigning that supports networks of organizations to drive powerful change towards our mission.

We are continually working on becoming a better workplace for everyone.

About The Role

Working as part of a global People-Operations team, the People & HR Generalist coordinates and supports: managers to hire, appoint, onboard and offboard staff; administer people surveys and data; HR and employee relations matters; and, the provision of coaching and advice to staff on organisational policies, systems and practices.  The  role is focussed on working with the Australian legal entity and with Professional Employment Offices (PEO’s) for staff in Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand, with expected future growth in other Asian countries.

The role collaborates closely with our Onboarding, Hiring and PEO specialist to ensure that all staff have a seamless positive global experience and that The Sunrise Project is well positioned to meet its people-related compliance and governance obligations.  As part of a growing team, the role provides an opportunity for developing a deep understanding of our People and Culture org-wide functions and to gain practical experience in supporting a scaling global organization.
