Job Description

Job purpose

To ensure timely processing and reporting of all Mission Orders and associated test outcomes from the United Kingdom Anti-Doping (UKAD) testing programme in the Anti-Doping Administration and Management System (ADAMS) database.

Ensure high standards are maintained within the UKAD, Doping Control Personnel (DCP) scheme by assessing their performance following their attempt to collect samples from athletes. Liaise internally with the Intelligence & Investigations and Testing Teams to provide essential information that will assist them in their pursuit of testing athletes as part of the UKAD testing programme. Provide laboratory with the analysis requirements for UKAD samples and respond to any queries.

 

Key result areas

·         Process field documentation and test outcomes, ensuring data accuracy via ADAMS database.

·         Dispatch in a timely manner test results and associated field documentation as required, to National Governing Bodies and International Federations.

·         Scrutiny of DCP Reports to ensure compliance with UKAD DCP Handbook, including liaison with UKAD DCP, National Governing Bodies and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory personnel.

·         On a daily basis, provide laboratory with analysis requirements for UKAD samples that have been delivered.

·         Process and resolve any issues identified by the laboratory relating to sample delivery or receipt.

·         Provide information to the Intelligence and Investigations Team from DCP reports to support the pursuit of intelligence-led testing.

·         Liaison with Testing Team in order to investigate and provide solutions to issues that impact on the integrity of tests.

·         Identify irregularities and raise non-conformity reports.

·         Scanning of Doping Control documentation to the UKAD Intelligence database as required.

·         Create and maintain appropriate procedures within the framework of the Quality Management System in relation to processing and reporting of test outcomes.

·         Maintain an effective filing and archiving system to ensure timely access to event files by the Legal Team.

·         Provide a high level of customer service and respond to enquiries from key stakeholders including Athletes, DCP, Laboratory staff and members of National Governing Bodies.

Person specification

·         Educated to A level standard or equivalent. Degree level desirable

·         Demonstrable experience of working within a process driven environment and responding to complex client correspondence

·         The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information  

·         Experience of using packages such as MS Office products

·         Demonstrable experience in administration

·         Able to organise and prioritise own workload

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide feedback on performance issues

Additional information

Working hours are 36 hours a week although flexibility is required in order to ensure core objectives are achieved. Some out-of-hours work, particularly weekend work, conference calls with International colleagues outside of core work hours, and occasional travel, will be required.
