Job Description
As part of the Advancement Operations team, you will have a focused scope of work within various software and database systems, including Mission CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and utilize a proficiency in Power BI and Power Query to provide metrics and dashboard style reporting for the Advancement Department.
The Advancement Department includes the fundraising teams in support of NOLS operations, campuses and remote sites that create unique educational opportunities for students around the world.
Key Logistical Points:
Location: Remote; This position requires traveling to a NOLS location at least once a year, with the potential for bi-monthly visits.

What does an Advancement Operations Database Coordinator do?
This role is in our Advancement Operations team and will be involved in the following activities:
Design and build logic and reporting for the Advancement team to report on fundraising performance, outreach lists and other structured output for Advancement services.
Serve as a key member of the project team to finalize the implementation of Mission as an integrated business solutions tool for the Advancement Operations department’s work processes.
Create and monitor Jira help desk tickets relating to Mission and the Advancement Team, additionally maintaining documentation of future enhancement requests.
Build an advanced user depth of knowledge in Mission CRM (Mission) and MS Dynamics 365 (D365) to support the Business Systems Analyst in training other team members in systems use and functionality.
Serve as support to the BSA, and as a secondary subject matter expert (SME), implementing and communicating best practices with data processing in Mission and D365.
Serve as backup to other roles within the Advancement Operations team, with documented cross training, on specific tasks as assigned.
Utilize additional data and spreadsheet tools, like MS Excel, to perform simple to intermediate data translations and visualizations.
Assist BSA in the creating and management of dashboards for analysis and tracking of fundraising and financial reporting
Serve as an active contributor in multi-departmental efforts to implement Mission and D365 data governance and champion data management efforts that positively impact fundraising and engagement
Work with IT on global edits, gift adjustments, and other items where security permissions are limited to IT's oversight

Create dashboards to help visualize fundraising efforts within various defined metrics
Develop and maintain strong relationships with working partners, including information systems and finance
Gain a deep understanding of Mission CRM specific project work and become an active contributor to the teams success
