Job Description

The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is looking for an exceptional candidate to join as Growth Manager APAC

This role will be based in Sydney, Australia and will work closely with the Managing Director APAC and the Australian & Singapore Senior Management Teams (SMT). This role’s focus will be supporting the Australian team with bid writing, training staff in Business Development practices and methodologies, as well as being responsible for the development and maintenance of APAC-wide Business Development tools, templates and processes.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to further shape and lead BIT’s growth into new markets and forge lasting partnerships by working with our consulting team to develop and manage the delivery of effective proposals.

What does the Growth Manager do?

The Growth Manager’s role is to own and improve the management of our responses to competitive tenders, outbound proposals, and other business development opportunities. You will manage the opportunity lifecycle: managing the pipeline of potential projects, overseeing the writing of proposals and bids, and collecting feedback after our projects are complete.

Another significant element of this role is the development of resources that enhance the quality of our bids and proposals. This will include initiatives that streamline processes and reduce the number of hours required from senior staff and those that improve the appearance and professionalism of our submissions. The Growth Manager role will also have a Singapore-based Growth Coordinator role to support them.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of BIT Australia’s business development activities including writing bids and managing end-to-end proposal lifecycle.

  • Design and management of APAC business development processes and tools including creating efficiencies, templates and training.

  • Oversee Business Development processes and activities in Singapore including acting as sounding board and subject matter expert to the Singapore leadership team.

What makes a great Growth Manager at BIT?

  • Experience with government procurement processes for professional services.

  • Collaboration as your default way of working.

  • Effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet a range of deadlines.

  • Client-centric approach in all aspects of your plans and proposals.
