Job Description

It is an incredibly exciting time for the Green Party in the East of England as we approach local and mayoral elections in May 2026, and as we develop many areas to elect Green Party MPs at the next general election. The Eastern region is home to the first-ever Green Party majority-run council in the country, multiple councils also led by the Green Party and many other very strong groups with big ambitions to take power or increase councillor numbers to bring positive change to their communities.

The country is angry and this is a pivotal time for the Green Party. As we surge in the national polls, we know that the far-right is also advancing at a rapid rate and will be hoping to take advantage of the collapse of the main parties. By supporting our ambitious campaigns across the region, you can make sure that the voices of hope trump the voices of hatred and division.

As a Field Organiser, you will have an overview of campaigns across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire. You will be helping to develop campaign plans and supporting teams to deliver campaigns that can radically increase our councillor numbers across the East of England and lay the groundwork to turn MP seats Green at the next general election.

You will have overall responsibility for improving the capacity of local parties to fight and win elections using the party’s Target to Win tool kit and approach. This includes providing training, guidance and advice on recruiting volunteers, building teams, and planning and executing election campaigns.
