About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the SSAFA Community Health Team within the Dietetic service on a casual basis.
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian with adult & paediatric experience in an outpatient/community setting to support the dietetic service in delivering a high standard of care, supporting military personnel and their families across British Forces Cyprus. You could be part of our dietetic team that works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide dietetic specialist care across a wide range of areas, organise and support public health initiatives and provide training to health professionals and patient groups.
About the team
To carry out this role successfully you will be a registered dietitian ready to work flexibly. You will have a broad range of knowledge and experience in an outpatient or community setting including clinical proficiency with both adults and children.
You will be required to cover a variety of dietetic areas such as:
weight management
diabetes
gastrointestinal disorders such as coeliac disease, IBS and IBD
Cardiovascular disease
allergies
faltering growth
fussy eating
You should have the ability to work autonomously and within a team, possess excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills. A valid driving licence, together with the ability to drive a manual car is essential as substantial travel is required across the island.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of working within a multi-disciplinary health team and a background in nutrition and/or healthcare science. You will have good written and communication skills, with the ability to deliver information clearly and concisely. You will be a team player with the ability to be flexible according to priorities and take satisfaction from delivering a professional service.
