Job Description

Everoze is different, we are employee owned. We’re more than just a technical and commercial consultancy, specialising in renewables, storage, green hydrogen and wider energy flexibility. We live our values. We’re passionate about accelerating the transition to a decarbonised energy system. We have no bosses or formal hierarchy. We are free to pursue opportunities that deliver our strategy. We take ownership of our own development and support one another along the way. Our pay is transparent and set by our peers. We, the employees, own the company and we share a portion of our profits equally.

We’re OK with being different. Everoze isn’t for everyone. But it might just be for you…

We’re excited to be hiring an experienced HR Officer. The position is based in Lyon or Paris, France where you will be joining a growing and dynamic team. You will work closely with the Office Manager based in Lyon and the HR Professional based in Bristol, UK and will be an active member of the global Business Management team.

  • Salary: A competitive basic salary related to your experience, pension, plus annual profit share and route into company ownership.

  • Deadline for applications: 25th June 2023.

  • Location: Lyon or Paris office with a lot of flexibility for some remote working.

  • Contract type: long-term (CDI).

  • Hours: Normal office hours with a healthy level of flexibility and RTTs. Preference for 5 days per week but will consider candidates who would prefer part-time with a minimum of 4 days per week.

  • Other benefits: lunch vouchers “tickets restaurant”, cycle-to-work scheme “Forfait Mobilités Durables”, company savings’ accounts PEE and PERCO, and a yearly contribution to PERCO (“abondement”).

What We offer:

  • We are owned by the employees and offer a route into ownership for all new staff;

  • A fast-growth environment: We set up shop with 6 partners in September 2015. Now we’re 80 strong and counting, based across the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Singapore and Australia.

  • The flattest of flat organisations: Let’s be upfront: if you thrive on hierarchy and structure, Everoze isn’t the company for you. But if you are looking for a work environment where the strength of your ideas are valued as much as your years of experience, then welcome home. You’ll be given the freedom and autonomy to shape your own career; it’s not for everyone, and with freedom comes responsibility – but we sure enjoy the buzz of owning our own careers;

  • The team works: Goodbye departmental silos! We get our offshore wind experts working on energy storage, our UK team working on French projects, our UK office manager specialising in communications. It keeps things fresh for us and more importantly, spurs the creative cross-fertilisation of ideas which helps us deliver unique insights and value to our clients;

  • Top-notch mentorship and coaching: We are lucky to have lots of industry and business management experts at Everoze. We’d love to share some of this experience with you, and assign you an internal mentor to help guide your professional development. And we hope that you can return the favour by offering feedback for us too, because whether you’ve got 3 months experience, or 30 years, we’ve all got more to learn;

  • No utilisation targets: yes that’s right! we don’t report on, or check staff utilisation to assess team or individual performance. We operate on trust within the team.  We find that happy and motivated staff are able to find the right balance between commercial work, business development and administration;

  • Fostering entrepreneurship: If you have a good idea for a new business area, we empower you to follow it. OK, lots of companies say that, right? Well, many of our staff are actively involved in new ventures which have led to creating new companies or lines of work. We’re serious about this and we have systems for selecting new opportunities and a budget for investing in them.

  • Flexibility: we offer flexible work hours, part-time and remote working for those who want it, so that people can develop their passions outside of work while having a fulfilling career. At Everoze we want you to bring your ‘whole-self’ to work;

What you will be doing:

You will be the first point of contact for all things HR for France (~22 people). As we are a small business this will cover a range of responsibilities from administration, policy/procedure development and advising our people on best practice HR (with support from external partners). In addition to this, you will be supporting the UK HR partner with recruitment and talent acquisition globally. There is also scope to develop in this position and get involved in wider HR projects to build the HR function as we grow. As part of the Business Management team, you will contribute to making the company a better place to work. Specific activities will include:

EVEROZE GLOBAL:

  • Recruitment / Talent acquisition: handling the administration of the global campaigns from A to Z and streamlining processes;

  • Employment contracts: issuing of new contracts, reviewing the existing ones to make sure they comply with the legal updates (mostly for France), following up any changes;

  • On- & Off-boarding: helping improve the existing procedures and guiding newcomers/leavers through the procedure, dealing with any admin matters (visa and work authorizations, registration to the pension schemes, health insurance, etc.);

  • Global Mobility: with the help of local payroll providers, making sure that we comply with the local regulations (contract, leave, benefits, etc.), dealing with any admin matters related to the moves, helping create a general guideline for any future moves;

FRANCE-specific:

  • Leave: tracking and following up all types of leave and proving support to the employees.

  • On- & Off-boarding: briefing newcomers on how we roll at Everoze (contract, leave, lunch vouchers, medical visit);

  • Personal and professional interviews: managing and following up the individual interviews within the context of our flat organisation;

  • Social benefits (health insurance, lunch vouchers, etc.): following up the existing schemes;

 Future implementations:

  • Create a France-specific Handbook for newcomers;

  • Coordinate the creation of the French staff association (CSE);

  • Investigate the necessity of a telework charter for France or for Everoze global;

  • Follow up any French legal update and make sure it is implemented appropriately in the French business.
