Job Description

Distributors play a key role in the world's economy. They support the supply chains that deliver nearly every physical product you come across. But distributors can be more efficient. We are rejuvenating the $6 Trillion dollar distribution industry by empowering the people who sell these products with AI. By bringing cutting-edge technology to the world of business-to-business distribution we have a chance to really transform the way a huge number of people work. And bridge the gap between amazing software tools and human expertise.

By searching for truth in our customers' data we're helping them make better decisions and be more effective. We are looking for a Cloud Security engineer to help make that vision a reality.

As a Cloud Security engineer you will join our foundations team. And you'll ensure that any potential security issues are quashed before they begin. We will look to you as our go-to security expert!

What you’ll do as a Cloud Security Engineer at Proton.ai:

  • Design and manage the security strategy across our infrastructure and user facing applications. (We run on Google Cloud infrastructure, heavily using Kubernetes)

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define, implement, and enforce secure development policies.

  • Work on projects such as permissioning systems, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management, making key foundational design decisions that will guide us for years to come.

  • Be our go-to security expert making security decisions from the sales phase to production concerns.

You are experienced with:

  • Cloud providers, such as AWS or GCP

  • Cybersecurity

  • Python or some other dynamic programming language

  • Containerized architectures

You are:

  • Comfortable with Linux environments.

  • Nimble, able to think both strategically and get in the weeds as we refine our security strategy.

  • Motivated by the opportunity to make key decisions around technical choices.

  • Excited to join as an early member of the company, and shape how we grow and define our culture

At Proton, we hire a little differently. Read about that and more on our engineering blog.

We're a remote-first company and open to candidates anywhere in the world.
