Location: Working from home and at 1 Westfield Avenue, London E20 1HZ.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Ambassador Relations team works within the Communication Department which sits within the Public and Partnerships Engagement Directorate. We exist to empower and develop strong and diverse relationships with our stable of Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters to champion children’s rights and influence the public and those with power in the UK to create change for children. In addition, we cultivate industry experts within the Music & Entertainment industries and manage our entire portfolio ensuring consistent delivery towards our engagement, fundraising and influencing goals.
Guided by the UNCRC we and our team of Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters are brave, smart, honest, hopeful advocates and communicators who amplify the voices of children and young people whilst raising funds for our programmes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ambassador Relations Manager is a strategic relationship and project manager who develops and nurtures some of UNICEF UK’s Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters to support fundraising activities, elevate the organisation’s voice in the media, mobilise the public to act on child rights and decision-making target audiences to deliver on organisational priorities. The role supports Senior Managers and works closely with the team Executive, the Soccer Aid talent team, all teams within UNICEF UK including our Organic Social, Media, Advocacy and Corporate teams, and our UNICEF Global colleagues
This role will co-lead and drive specific cross-organisational income generating and brand building projects, including a number of influential external stakeholders who strategically help shape new development opportunities for UNICEF UK in support of our regular resources and emergencies funds.
Other responsibilities include supporting our team Executive with impact reporting and keeping our team’s systems effective, as well as developing Ambassador Relations strategies servicing different remits and cross-committee project groups. The role will manage complex projects, such as visits to UNICEF’s UK based and / or field programmes, and key contact a number of dedicated Ambassadors, High Profile Supporters and Prospects to maintain impactful long-term relationships.
What we will expect you to achieve
Create, develop, and nurture long-term, high-level relationships and strategic engagement plans for UNICEF UK Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters, ensuring their support aligns with organisational priorities and advances child rights.
Lead collaboration with teams across UNICEF, including Safeguarding, Media, Organic Social, Corporate Partnerships, and Advocacy to design and deliver integrated engagement plans. Provide expert guidance on celebrity and Ambassador activity to ensure alignment with UNICEF UK’s values, safeguarding principles, and strategic objectives.
Support Senior Managers in developing and delivering effective Ambassador Relations and broader Communications strategies that drive impact across campaigns and cross-organisational projects.
Co-lead the development of innovative, high-impact projects and fundraising campaigns with influential external stakeholders and UNICEF Global offices, creating new opportunities that contribute to UNICEF UK’s strategic and financial goals.
Contribute to identifying and cultivating new Ambassadors and High Profile Supporters, ensuring all activity reflects UNICEF UK’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Develop new and meaningful engagement opportunities for existing and prospective supporters, including leading or supporting programme visits in the UK and overseas, ensuring excellence in planning, delivery, and relationship management.
Support the Team Executive in maintaining effective systems, procedures, and governance across Ambassador Relations, including social media management, performance metrics, and impact reporting to inform future strategies.

Relevant experience
Evidence of experience of working in a celebrity environment, significant talent booking and long-term relationship and project management. Specific experience with music talent and music industry desirable.
Experience of delivering targeted communications strategies to elevate organisational priorities through celebrity engagement
A strong understanding of risk management
Evidence of experience of project managing complex cross-organisational projects dealing with a number of internal and external stakeholders
Specific knowledge and skills
Knowledge of, and experience of developing strategic relationships with people of influence within a complex organisational framework, anticipating challenges.
Understanding of UK fundraising and campaigning landscape as well as overall management of talent led deliverables; managing requests from multiple teams towards delivering compelling media, fundraising and advocacy campaigns.
A sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite tools and Salesforce.
Strong knowledge of media and social media.
