The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will support the Communications Manager in delivering the Network Secretariat's strategy for marketing and internal/external communications.
This is an exciting role that provides an opportunity to develop skills in website development, social media marketing, lead generation, CRM management, data analysis, and content development - setting you on a path for progression within the organisation or building your skill set for future roles.
You will be working in a purpose-driven organisation seeking to create a better future for business, society and the environment. Please note that while this role is within the UN Global Compact Network UK Secretariat, the successful candidate will not be formally employed by the United Nations.
You will be responsible for planning and executing marketing plans so that our messaging reaches the right people at the right time to ensure the success of our programmatic initiatives. Specific tasks will include:
Managing communications via website, social media, event marketing, and PR to increase awareness and recognition of the organisation;
Developing original content and leveraging it through marketing channels to generate leads in support of membership growth;
Working with Programme Managers throughout an event/programme cycle to meet participation targets;
Managing our Salesforce CRM and achieve targets for database growth;
Evaluate marketing campaigns using Google Analytics and reporting on media partners' results;
Maintain and improve relationships with media/event partners.
The UN Global Compact Network UK has a very broad remit, but the Network Secretariat team is small, so the Communications & Marketing Coordinator may be required to support other activities from time to time.
Marketing and communications experience, including: digital comms/social media, media liaison, content generation;
Proactive and self-motivated;
Excellent writing and presentation skills;
Knowledge of the UN Global Compact, the SDGs, and the responsible business agenda;
Desirable: familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
