Very Great is a New York-based company launch platform, building next-generation consumer brands. Founded in 2016 by Eric Prum and Josh Williams, Very Great empowers passionate entrepreneurs with best-in-class creative, manufacturing, sales and marketing infrastructure to rapidly develop, launch and scale digitally-native consumer product brands. The current family of brands includes W&P, Courant and Wild One, with future brand launches currently under development.

Wild One is a lifestyle brand that makes beautifully designed, functional pet essentials for our best friends. We create a wide variety of innovative products that will make your morning walks, subway commutes, and park visits easier and more enjoyable for you and your dog. We launched in September 2018. Since then, we’ve run a pop-up shop in the heart of Nolita, been dubbed the “Everlane and Outdoor Voices of pet accessories”, partnered with key retailers such as Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Bloomingdale’s, and more.

Wild One is looking for a seasoned Senior Marketing Manager who is passionate about building early-stage D2C brands and has a keen interest in disrupting the pet space. Our ideal team member has a proven ability to develop and implement strategically sound and customer-centric integrated marketing campaigns across all channels. You’re a creative problem solver who enjoys cracking any challenge, revels in both the creative and analytical sides of brand building and knows how to effectively translate ideas into actionable solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, you want to work on a tight-knit team and you are committed to truly nurturing and developing your team on the daily. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Co-founder & Head of Brand to ideate, identify, develop and execute an integrated brand strategy that will elevate growth across all channels and initiatives

  • Create insight-led and objective-based briefs that thoughtfully communicate the purpose and goals of our campaigns cross-functionally

  • Drive the design, planning, production and successful deployment of 360 marketing campaigns, managing to detailed project plans that deliver quality programs on-time and on-budget

  • Partner with the Director of Digital Marketing & the Web Development team to ensure Wild One is optimally represented across all digital marketing channels and effectively guide and prioritize the workflow of concurrent initiatives in alignment with brand goals

  • Assess and analyze our customer journey, ensuring a consistent and holistic customer experience throughout all campaigns and marketing collateral

  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies, brand partnerships and other community-building marketing tactics

  • Own the day-to-day management and execution of the brand marketing calendar

  • Manage, motivate and inspire junior brand team members

 About You: 

  • 6+ years of experience in branding, content/asset management and production experience

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team

  • Thorough understanding of how to build and develop digital assets across web, social and mobile

  • Thrives collaborating in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment 

  • Highly analytical with an astute ability to assess, analyze and translate data into compelling, actionable solutions

  • Diplomatic and solutions-oriented; possesses impeccable communication skills

  • Agile in their approach and flexible towards evolving responsibilities

  • Adept project manager who is experienced managing multiple concurrent projects to timeline 

  • High bar for quality, rigor, and integrity in your own work and your teams

  • Highly proficient in Adobe CC tools, with Indesign, Illustrator, and XD being a priority

  • Passionate about animals!
