The Carey Group Hand Axe Yard office is a stone’s throw away from Kings Cross station and offers a hot desk office and meeting space for Carey Group employees, clients and visitors. Hosting up to 70 people, with 5 dedicated meeting rooms, this 10,000sqft newly renovated/re-opened office, split over 2 floors.

The Role:

This is a stand-alone role, taking full ownership for Front of House at the Kings Cross Office; however, you will form part of the Front of House Team who support our other Regional Offices in Wembley, London and in Glasgow. Responsibilities include;

  • Be the welcoming ‘face’ of the office, providing the highest level of customer care.

  • Provide a clean and organised office space, working with the cleaning team to maintain cleanliness standards and ensuring visitors respect the workplace.

  • Arrange the correct IT equipment and instructions for seamless meetings set-up.

  • Support events and meetings with clients inc. organising refreshments and placing catering orders.

  • Support the Facilities Manager as required, such as dealing with maintenance contractors and logging service reports.

  • Monitor, respond and/or acknowledge, forward and action the Front of House inbox.

  • Manage stock of stationary and other consumables.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, data entry, invoice processing and activity analysis and reporting.

  • Maintain consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.

  • Lead initiatives to introduce and improve Front of House processes and champion better ways of working.

About You:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Front of House/Office Management role (2+ years).

  • Strong interpersonal and customer-focussed skills – comfortable dealing with people at all levels (internal and external).

  • Highly organised and efficient.

  • Assertive & professional whilst personable & approachable.

  • Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

  • Proactive ‘self-starter’ who uses their initiative and takes accountability for quality standards - acts as a company ambassador.

  • Responds positively/enthusiastically and readily adapts within a fast-paced/changeable work environment.

  • Forward thinking problem solver with sound judgement and professional discretion - remains confident and calm under pressure.

  • Flexibility and willingness to work flexible or additional hours as per the needs of the role.

  • 38.5hrs per week (8.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4pm Fridays)
