Dry Lining Apprenticeship – West London
BDL is one of the largest specialist dry lining contractors in the UK with a turnover in the region of £65m and a large workforce of skilled operatives. The company was established in 1977 and became part of the Carey Group in September 2013.

Contracts are delivered through commercial and residential divisions, with services including drywall suspended ceilings and plaster finishes, and washroom fit-out packages. The team has an unparalleled depth of knowledge, expertise and experience in delivering its services across a wide spectrum of sectors and has been involved in some of the UK’s most iconic projects.
We now have fantastic opportunities for apprentice Dryliners to join us on a Level 2 Interior systems Installer apprenticeship on fast paced, high profile projects across London & the South East. These are progressive apprenticeships opportunities offering development and advancement in a skills short industry.
Dryliners build internal walls in residential and commercial structures. You will be involved in both the ‘Fixing’ and ‘finishing’ stage ensuring solid knowledge of the trade.
Duties will Include;
Fixing Stage:
· Measure and cut plasterboard to the right sizes and angles
· Fix the panels to timber or metal frames (or ceiling joists) using special studs
· Cut panels to fit around doorways and create openings for windows
Finishing Stage:
· Sealing joints using filler or adhesive
· Taping over the seal either by hand or with a taping machine
· Applying a thin layer of plaster over the tape (skimming)
· Sanding down the area ready for painting and decorating
