Job Description

The Media Team at the Premier League are looking for a Media Operations Executive to join the existing Broadcast Operations and Access Team. Reporting into the Media Operations Manager, the Media Operations Executive will help to provide a best-in-class service to their Rightsholders and Clubs. This role will focus on supporting match-by-match Broadcast Operations requirements and delivery of the Match Manager programme. They will provide support to the wider Operations Team with meeting management and preparation as well as regularly attending match days.

The Role:

As a Media Operations Executive, your responsibilities will include:

  • Build solid relationships with the UK Host Broadcasters, Premier League Productions, Match Managers and Clubs. This will involve maintaining effective working relationships with a range of personnel

  • Support the weekly operations delivery requirements to ensure a best-in-class service to Rightsholders

  • Process a number of Club and Match Manager reports on a weekly basis, delivering to resolution stage with support of the wider team

  • Support the delivery of weekly Host Broadcast meetings

  • Support the delivery of Match Manager briefings and Season Facilities meetings throughout the season

  • Support the weekly Football Operations Match Centre meetings and escalate/resolve any ongoing issues

  • Support with Premier League Productions onsite services liaison and meetings

  • Help the department to deliver the busiest broadcast matches, working with Premier League Productions to improve workflows and ensure services of the highest standard

  • Support requirements for match day accreditation working with Football Data Co. as required

  • Regularly attend match days and ensure that across the season all allocated Clubs and Match Managers are visited at least once

  • Provide administrative support across all workflows, from updating master camera plans and Club guides, to booking travel and maintaining a Host Broadcaster fixture list

  • Be the central point person for the department’s planning meetings and coordinate all aspects of that planning, such as meeting room bookings, minuting, producing documents, scheduling, and reminders for deadlines

  • Provide support to the wider team as required

The Candidate:

The ideal Media Operations Executive will have:

  • An interest in sports broadcast/media operations. Previous experience is not as important as recruiting the best candidate for this role

  • A knowledge of/interest in football/sport

  • The ability to work calmly under pressure with a keen, can-do attitude

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

  • Excellent attention to detail and deadlines, taking pride in the quality of work produced

  • Solid interpersonal and literacy skills with the ability to interact well with people at all levels

  • The ability to read situations sensitively and intelligently with an understanding of strategic context (knowing when to persist and when not to)

  • A resilient and calm manner. Is tactful and diplomatic

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Regular weekend working is a requirement of the role and there will be offsite meetings that require travelling away from the main London office
