Buyer Operations Manager – The Modern House & Inigo

Purpose

The Buyer Operations Manager is part of our team of managers at The Modern House & Inigo. The role leads the team who organise buyer viewings at homes for sale. Viewings are essential for sales, so this role looks after a crucial part of our client journey, and one which we do differently to most estate agents. 

Responsibilities

The Buyer Operations Manager's core responsibilities are to: 

  • Ensure all viewing enquiries are responded to and booked in the most efficient manner 

  • Model highest standards of customer care 

  • Develop internal processes and work with other team members to reimagine and improve the client journey, helping to maximise buyer leads 

  • Effectively line manage the Viewings Coordinators and Sales Coordinator, setting goals and monitoring performance 

  • Effectively manage our nationwide Viewing Host community 

  • Manage invoicing for sales and freelance viewing hosts 

  • Ensure we are compliant with The Property Ombudsman Code of Practice and legislation including AML and GDPR 

Knowledge & Skills needed

  • Deep experience in customer service or client-facing role 

  • Experience working reactively in a fast-paced, high volume, commercial environment 

  • Experience managing a team 

  • Rigorous organisation 

  • Experience in handling complaints  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication 

  • An appetite to proactively solve problems or improve ways of working 

  • Strong commercial acumen 

  • Strong interest in architecture and design 

Team 

The Buyer Operations Manager reports to the Head of Sales.  

The role works alongside Sales Team Managers, Client Operations Manager and Appraisals managers. 

The role works frequently with our Viewing Host community across the country.
