About the PRI

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.

The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole. The PRI is truly independent. It encourages investors to use responsible investment to enhance returns and better manage risks but does not operate for its own profit; it engages with global policymakers but is not associated with any government; it is supported by, but not part of, the United Nations.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Communications team of 17 full-time individuals in 6 teams: Design, Digital (with responsibility for social media, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters), Editorial, Internal, Media Relations and Website. We also rely on several external contractors and agencies. The teamwork with internal research teams and other stakeholders to conceptualise, produce and promote a wide range of publications on responsible investment themes (50-70 annually).

We also provide communications support to the PRI Academy and a wide range of events, including a major annual conference: PRI in Person. We are looking for an experienced project manager to help manage the traffic through the Communications team more efficiently through a professional briefing and documentation process, resource and capacity planning, and regular reporting to the Communications Director.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed schedules and set deadlines for various stages of PRI projects

  • Distribute assignments to Communications teams, depending on their availability and priorities

  • Meet with project stakeholders to learn more about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any issues

  • Fully understand the requirements and ensure the correct skill set is resourced for the brief

  • Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments, priorities, and deadlines accordingly

  • Maintain job files

  • Foster strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Work with freelancers and contractors and ensure they have the resources needed for their jobs

  • Generate status reports

  • Escalate concerns to Director of Communications and Content Office when appropriate

  • Manage Digital Pipeline and Communications Asana project management tool.

  • Build and maintain robust production processes from brief to delivery

  • Recommend process improvements

  • Arrange post project review meetings to challenge ‘what went well’ and ‘what could we have done better’

  • Provide regular reporting to Communication Director

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Previous traffic/project management experience in an agency or corporate setting

  • Ability to multitask, organize and collaborate with the ability to foster an inclusive working environment

  • Experience of juggling a wide variety of requests from clients with competing deadlines and limited resources

  • Strong decision-making and prioritisation skills

  • Highly organised to schedule, monitor and adjust deadlines and resources as needed

  • Confidence to challenge the brief when appropriate
