Job Description

 About CACTX:

In the last twenty-five years, CACTX has become the national leader in providing best-practice, evidence-based services to children impacted by abuse, serving nearly 1 million children statewide, through a statewide network of children’s advocacy centers. We have recently scaled our vision to eradicate child sexual abuse and have constructed a theory of change and strategy map and now need to identify high impact activities to support our organization’s multi-year, multi-generational journey into this work. CACTX is a fast-paced, change-oriented, and optimistic organization that tackles complex social issues with high-impact, nuanced, and systems-level strategies. Our strategies are only successful through strong collaboration with partners.

About the Director of Research and Evaluation Role:

As a collaborative member of the Strategy Development and Evaluation team, the Director of Research and Evaluation is responsible for leading efforts to monitor and measure progress toward the organization’s vision of eradicating child sexual abuse in Texas. To achieve this outcome, the Director will design, develop, and implement evaluation goals, strategies, and activities to assess the impact of the work of CACTX and local children’s advocacy centers (CACs). In the initial stage of development and planning, the Director will lead efforts to determine how CACTX will measure progress toward its vision, including the identification of metrics and methodologies, and will develop and refine CACTX’s Theory of Change, along with logic models that support the organization’s programs and strategies.

This position is based in Austin, Texas. Applicants outside of Austin will be considered. Travel to Austin approximately 1-2 times per month is expected.

This position requires a doctoral degree.
