As the program manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the lives of students, working closely with the director and operations manager to form the ultimate NOLS Mexico leadership team.   • Benefits: Private housing is available on site and must participate on house duties tasks, on a weekly rotation. Kitchen, bathroom, staples and living areas are communal with other NOLS Mexico in-town staff (and field faculty when on-site).

What does the Mexico Program Manager do?

  • As the NOLS Mexico program supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional student experiences by overseeing the program team. 

  • Your role will also involve planning and managing course routes, collaborating with the operations manager to develop seasonal operating plans and logistics.

  • Implement new initiatives and curriculum for NOLS Mexico courses and prepare seasonal reports that highlight NOLS Mexico's performance, including risk management data, faculty merit recognition, and season summaries.

  • You will work closely with the expedition and leadership education director to contribute to annual program supervisor meetings and school-wide curriculum and program development at NOLS.

  • Oversee evacuations and assist with them as needed. 

  • Be responsible for briefing and debriefing Mexico field courses.

  • Be responsible for the support, development and supervision of 70-95 field faculty annually, evaluating and recording faculty performance assessments.

  • Work with student behavior issues and separations, including family contact. Your goal will be to provide support and guidance to students, ensuring a safe and positive experience for everyone on the program.

  • Organized with reliable supervisory skills.

  • Previous supervisory experience in outdoor education. 

  • Able to maintain a flexible schedule, sometimes working long and irregular hours, including some weekends and holidays.
