About the role

A fantastic opportunity has risen for a part time Branch Coordinator to join the SSAFA Staffordshire Branch on a temporary contract for 12 months.

In this varied and rewarding role you will work closely with the West Midlands Regional Office, Staffordshire Branch Chair and other volunteers to support the local military community by acting as a key point of contact for all branch enquiries. You will support with managing client referrals and allocating clients to Caseworkers. You will oversee all casework activity, maintaining records using the casework management system. You will be responsible for providing an effective support and administration function for this Branch.

Please note that the role requires the person to be based in Staffordshire area. The working hours will be 15 hours a week, 3 hours per day Monday-Friday.

About the team

In this team you will be working closely with the West Midlands Regional Office, Chair of Staffordshire and Branch Secretary to support a team of volunteers to administer casework to SSAFA beneficiaries. You will work closely with a larger support team of employees which includes 1 Regional Casework Manager and 3 Casework Administrators in the West Midlands Regional Office.

About you

To successfully carry out this role, you will have a passion for working with and supporting volunteers. Whilst having a military background is not essential, an understanding of the issues faced by those who have served in the Armed Forces and their families would be an advantage. Previous experience of working with volunteers and vulnerable people is preferred.

SSAFA Staffordshire Branch is looking for a diligent coordinator who can work independently and has excellent IT, administration and communication skills.
