We are looking for a Junior Sustainability Consultant to join our team based in our London office.  

This is an exciting role for someone who wants to help businesses, brands, government and NGOs tackle some of the biggest social and environmental challenges of our time. How can we help inspire the next generation to think about the power their pension has to drive change? How can we bring to life the societal value of certain drinks brands through partnerships? How do we bring together the cafes and restaurants at a major international airport to improve their sustainability impacts? How quickly should a telecommunications company move towards a zero carbon future, and how can it do that? 

Our clients, who include household names such as Aviva, VMO2, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NatWest Group, Avon, and eBay, as well as social enterprises, charities, foundations, local authorities and start-ups, look to us to help them answer their questions.  

In this role, you will be involved in client-focused assignments from the outset as a part of our entrepreneurial and lively team, taking increasing responsibility for your own projects over time, working with our Director of Sustainability and other consultants. You may be analysing new legislation on packaging for an FMCG company, researching volunteering opportunities for employees of a financial services company or speaking to experts on biodiversity to inform a communication's company's policies and practices. . You will also support the growth of Good Business by contributing to our marketing efforts and identifying new business opportunities.marketing efforts and identifying new business opportunities. 

All of our projects are tailored to our clients’ needs, so although every assignment is different, you will develop skills that will apply to a range of projects. You will already be a strong communicator, who enjoys analysing problems, solving them collaboratively and creatively, and then putting solutions into practice, and will be comfortable writing, researching, and analysing information and data.

Our team is passionate, thoughtful and opinionated, with experience from a variety of industries, such as advertising, hospitality, public sector, non-profit and research.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • has a proven interest in business, international development and social and environmental issues 

  • has strong written, verbal, analytical and communication skills 

  • has strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task  

  • is fully competent in MS Office applications including MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel 

  • is cheerful, flexible and adaptable  

Start date: By early September 2023
