WHAT WE DO
This role will be part of our Market Strategy & Understanding solutions. This particular area comprises of different teams of experts who are passionate about helping clients identify, qualify, optimise and forecast the potential of innovations, products and packaging. As well as understanding their market, where the best growth opportunities are, and optimising their brand positioning. Our rapid and validated end-to-end solutions enable clients to be faster in seizing opportunities and being more agile in bringing their products to market.
Specifically, the Graduate Research Executive will be part of a specialist team supporting one major client – our work informs over 70% of the decisions this client makes in the pursuit of their smoke-free vision. We run two large-scale research programmes across over 40 countries to understand and map what consumers use when they feel a crave for nicotine. The insights from this research is then used to help our client make decisions to help consumers quit harmful products and trade them for reduced-risk alternatives. Our client has now helped over 15 million smokers worldwide make this switch, and the objective is to reach 40 million by 2025!
YOUR ROLE:
We are looking for graduates from any degree discipline to join us and embrace a career in research. It’s not just about putting numbers to charts – it’s about looking at the data as a whole and having a point of view on what it means and the implications for our client.
As a Graduate Research Executive, you’ll be a key member of the team working towards taking responsibility on ad-hoc requests, projects and analysis across one or more product categories on a client’s behalf.
Your key daily responsibilities will include:
Preparing and updating project plans
Checking data files and tables
Quality checking key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest quality
Preparing, planning, prioritising and communicating effectively to ensure deliverables are sent to schedule
Populating PowerPoint reports and writing commentary
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal suppliers and team members
Getting involved in wider team initiatives intended to continuously improve how we work and what we do.
ABOUT YOU:
A passion for using research to help business create a better world, along with an openness and motivation to get stuck into understand why people do what they do, and how we can use that understanding to help smokers switch to better alternatives.
A hunger to unpick questions into their constituent parts, to diagnose opportunities and be able to influence decisions
A natural drive to not just deliver facts and numbers, but to interpret those into the “so what” and the “now what”
The ability to work creatively and think commercially
Thrives on being proactive and delighting people through over-delivery and going the extra mile
Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to processing and analysing data
Strong interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
