Job Description
Working in the parliamentary office of one of the Green Party's newly elected MPs, this role is about maintaining and building Ellie's public profile, nationally and locally; developing and delivering communications strategies to promote key campaigns; and developing and delivering key messages across a range of media and social media in a fast-paced political environment.
You will have excellent communication, time management and organisational skills. You will have a strong grasp of the needs of local, regional, and national print, broadcast and online media – and good experience of writing copy for, and pitching for coverage in, these outlets. Thriving under pressure, you will have a sound political judgement and sensitivity, and be able to quickly move between topics and tasks.
As well as promoting Ellie’s national profile, you will build strong relationships with the local and regional media covering North Herefordshire, and promote Ellie’s work on key constituency issues including river pollution, health and care services, and local economic development.
