Job Description
The Wilderness Medicine Equipment Coordinator works with the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Equipment and Materials Manager to build and execute a long-term plan for supporting courses. The Equipment Coordinator is largely responsible for the day to day implementation of the plan including gear maintenance, shipping, receiving, and communication.

What does an Equipment Coordinator do?
Prepares, labels and packs Wilderness Medicine course equipment and materials for shipment to course locations; oversees the gear and materials plan in the Equipment Manager’s absence
Regularly communicates to stakeholders in order to ensure efficient management of equipment.
Assesses and maintains equipment inventories. Maintains equipment warehouse and storage areas in a clean and orderly state.
Maintains inventory of extra supplies and materials, assisting the Equipment Manager with ordering and maintaining appropriate levels of supply inventory
Reviews gear set inventory sheets for each gear set and appropriately restock gear sets, ensuring uniformity and readiness for all course equipment and materials
Delivers course gear and materials to select course locations
Receives returning gear and shipments from vendors
General warehouse operations support including cleaning and organizing
Safe operation of forklift

In your first 6 months, you will:
Learn about the Wilderness Medicine gear and materials plan
Familiarize yourself with all Wilderness Medicine course types and associated gear
Meet with NOLS staff and partners

Ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and fluctuating requests
Ability to consistently work independently and be self-motivated
Able to physically lift and move boxes and equipment up to 50 pounds
Able to communicate well with a variety of audiences
Technological proficiency, preferably with experience with Microsoft programs
Willing to work with bio-hazard materials in a safe environment
Valid driver’s license and pass company driving requirements
Forklift experience and certification is highly preferred but will train if needed

This position is based in Lander, Wyoming, USA at our Cirque Center location. No remote work option is available for this position.
