Job Description

About the role

What excites you as a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser?

Do you want to work with a brilliant, highly motivated and knowledgeable team to learn with?

What about working with some of the best and largest funding partners - those who really care about impacting young people and want to get under the skin of the problem?

What about working for a charity that is leading the way in the sector and is on track to fulfil its 5 year strategy promises?

Yes! Then you should definitely read…

This is an exciting and busy time to be joining UK Youth as we head into year 3 of our strategy and transform the way we work to ensure all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. As a result, we are recruiting for a number of new roles designed to enable the organisation to grow, improve our ways of working and enable us to deliver our ambitious 2025 strategic plan.

We have an exciting opportunity, in a fast-paced organisation, to recruit for a Trusts and Foundations Manager. This role will work alongside our other Trusts and Foundations Manager to deliver exceptional relationship management to our existing portfolio of funders from Trusts and Foundations and statutory sources, as well as diversify and grow our income from new prospective funders. You will play a key role in supporting the organisation to triple its income by 2025 (from c. £7m in 2020/21) in order to meet the growing needs of young people and the youth sector.

Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for the relationship management of some of our existing portfolio, including working closely with colleagues to deliver high quality feedback and reporting. Additionally, this role will work collaboratively with the Grants and Contracts Manager to develop compelling propositions and identify and cultivate new prospective partners and opportunities. The successful candidate will be an excellent story-teller and relationship builder, have good bid-writing skills and be highly organised, target-driven and outcome focused.

Who we are

UK Youth is a leading charity that exists to ensure all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. We work with others to ensure that the youth sector is strengthened, supported and that provision is youth-led, evidence-informed and delivers high-quality outcomes.

UK Youth plays a unique role in addressing; the lack of investment in the youth sector, the lack of cross-sector understanding in how youth work makes a difference and the limited opportunities to embed effective solutions. These factors lead to mass inequality of access to youth services for young people. To find more about us and how we make an impact, please visit UK Youth Website.
