FTE Status: 100% (40 hpw)
Start date and end date: July 2023 - May 2024
Location: Remote in Europe and UK with a preference for UK, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands (an eligible candidate must have full working rights in the country in which they are applying to work from. Remote working optional. The Sunrise Project will not sponsor applicants for employment visas.)
Remuneration:Depending on experience (including unpaid and other experiences) and capacity to take on responsibility, the salary range is £34,000- £42,000 (if the position is located in the UK). If the successful candidate is outside of the UK, the salary will be adjusted based on local market equivalencies

About The Role
This role provides administrative and campaign support across two climate finance campaigns; insurance and banks. The role works closely with campaign teams enabling them to function smoothly and operates with a high level of autonomy and initiative in completing organisational processes and core administrative functions. Undertaking bespoke small projects and research will see you providing critical input into key areas of campaign work.
We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations.

You are a seriously well-organised person who has an eagle eye for detail, loves collaborating with others to solve problems and streamlining processes and systems. You’re flexible, enjoy variety in your work, and you thrive on being the “go to” person for team coordination and support. You are adept at coordinating and sharing information, and coaching others.

You are passionate about supporting a team of campaigners aiming to solve the climate crisis.
Key Responsibilities
Assists team coordination, support activities and processes by developing and administering systems and protocols that support the campaign team in achieving its goals: providing logistical meeting support, undertaking team calendar management, managing distribution/contacts lists, and document management.
Supports the team lifecycle and acts as the interface between the People Operations, Legal and Finance teams: provides logistical support for hiring and onboarding/ offboarding staff, supporting the team with contracts and invoicing requests, inducts new team members on team processes, facilitates team member enquiries and resolves operational issues, maintains, updates and provides expert advice on Sunrise systems to ensure the smooth running of the team.
Project manages and delivers virtual and in-person events working in collaboration with the campaign team lead.
Undertakes discrete desk-based research assignments and campaign related tasks that support the campaign teams to meet their objectives and campaign needs.
Assists the team with grant administration by drafting grant memos based on partner proposals, and inputting/updating information to the grants management tool.
Aligns own work with Sunrise’s OKRS, mission and values.
Required Skills, knowledge and experience
Well-developed administrative skills including event logistics, coordinating small projects, designing documents and online research;
Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills and experience;
Well-developed interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence;
Highly computer literate and tech-savvy with intermediate MSOffice and G-suite skills and a proven ability to quickly become an expert user of software;
Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a small but dynamic team environment;
A passion for action on climate change and a commitment to social justice;
A willingness to learn and ability to develop new skills and tackle new areas of responsibility.
