Triathlon Trust – Operations & Fundraising Manager
Triathlon Trust
- Closing: 11:45pm, 23rd Oct 2025 BST
Job Description
We’re excited to offer a brand-new role at the heart of the Triathlon Trust, where you’ll work closely with our passionate and experienced Board. This is a unique opportunity to shape the day-to-day operations of a growing charity that’s committed to making sport more inclusive, diverse, and impactful.
As our first staff member, you’ll take the lead on a wide range of responsibilities, from financial management and grant monitoring to supporting fundraising efforts, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and sharing inspiring stories about the work we do. You’ll also play a vital role in helping the Board ensure the charity is sustainable, well-run, and ready for the future.
The Triathlon Trust is a UK-based grant-making charity, raising funds to invest in active communities, champion diversity in triathlon, and support future podium talent. We’re proud to be part of the British Triathlon family, working closely with their Finance, Development, and other expert teams to deliver our mission.
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with us. You’ll bring proven experience in operational and financial management, along with a strong understanding of fundraising in a relevant setting. Just as importantly, you’ll be:
A confident and clear communicator
Highly organised and proactive
Skilled at building trust-based relationships
Aligned with British Triathlon’s values
Excited by the potential of what we can achieve together
Following a strategic review post-COVID, we’re piloting exciting new initiatives and refining our core processes. This role will evolve over time, offering plenty of scope for growth, innovation, and leadership.
If you’re ambitious, driven by purpose, and ready to help shape the future of our charity, we’d love to hear from you.
We value the different perspectives that a more representative workforce will bring to our work, and are particularly keen to hear from applicants from diverse communities and backgrounds.
Successful working relationships are key to any role. Our new Operations & Fundraising Manager will report into the Chair of the Board of Trustees, building effective working relationships with the other Trustees, key staff from British Triathlon, Home Nations and other stakeholders.
The role will be home based, but there will be opportunities to meet the trustees, BTF staff and those whom we support.
Triathlon Trust offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
· 25 days annual leave (pro-rata)
· Pension scheme
British Triathlon is passionate about developing an environment that makes Britain the world’s leading triathlon nation, enabling success and increasing participation. The Triathlon Trust is looking for someone who can bring skills and ambition, who is determined to have a positive impact, and who values doing what’s right above doing what is expected.
