Job Description
This role is hybrid, working from home up to 3 days per week, with 2 days at our offices based in Loughborough.
Job purpose
You will assist and deputise for the Head of Results as required and specifically in respect of the management of the Results team. Lead on post-test outcomes, including laboratory results, testing procedure compliance and the results management of Whereabouts failures.
Key result areas include
Lead on the day-to-day monitoring of the UKAD’s contracted WADA-Accredited Laboratory to ensure timely analysis of samples and that costs are reconciled appropriately. Monitor samples collected and analysed, in addition to liaising with the laboratory as required.
Support managing individuals on UKAD’s Scientific Expert and Administrative Review Panels, ensuring they are adequately resourced and fulfilling responsibilities to required standard.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key external stakeholders
Manage the timely processing of Adverse and Atypical Analytical Findings reported by WADA-Accredited Laboratories and manage any subsequent queries, including from the Case Management team.
Lead on the regular reporting of Athlete compliance in respect to their Whereabouts requirements. This includes athletes in either UKAD’s National Registered Testing Pool (NRTP) or Domestic Testing Pool (DTP), along with the monitoring of whereabouts failures for GB athletes in an International Registered Testing Pool.
Lead on the timely results management (processing and reporting) of Missed Tests and Filing Failures (for both NRTP and DTP Athletes) in accordance with the International Standard for Results Management.
Lead on the coordination of cross-team working in respect of Athletes potentially returning to competition following a period of ineligibility
Lead on the reporting of test numbers and results to internal teams, NGBs and external stakeholders. Support UKAD’s preparation for major events, coordinating with the Laboratory as appropriate.
Lead the Results Team’s involvement in the roll-out and lead the subsequent utilisation of Paperless Doping Control, including supporting implementation of relevant changes at the Laboratory and delivering training to internal colleagues (Results and Case Management teams).
Represent the Results Team as part of organisation-wide work on data analytics.
Responsible for the training and line management of the Results Officers, including setting and monitoring objectives, quality standards, personal development, coaching and appraisal.

Experience/knowledge/skills
Demonstrable experience of working within a process driven environment and responding to complex client correspondence
Experience of processing data and presenting complex issues to a variety of audiences
Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information
Experience of Integrating and understanding databases
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively by letter and phone to people at all levels of understanding
Excellent attention to detail
An organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to cope with consistently demanding workloads and tight deadlines
Ability to use initiative and judgement, with a pro-active approach to problem solving
