Job Description
ROLE
Luminate is seeking a collaborative and solutions-oriented Analyst for our Learning & Impact function. The Analyst will work closely with the Learning & Impact team in a functional role supporting our team’s research, project management, and administrative capabilities. Activities will include desk research on emerging topics, evidence management, administrative execution of contracts, information management, helpdesk support, communications support, and overall project planning/management.
OPPORTUNITY
Luminate launched a new Learning Framework in 2022 and renewed its commitment to integrating learning into organisational practices. The Learning Framework is set out to test for uncertainties in our strategy and support our decision-making. We believe in pursuing emergent learning through incorporating learning and reflection practices that enable us to respond to new information and make decisions that are informed by evidence. The Learning & Impact team supports the organisation and our partners in carrying out these practices.
The Learning & Impact activities require implementation support. This includes supporting teams’ evidence collection and research needs, processing contracts, information management, and overall project management. As such, the Learning & Impact team seeks a motivated, highly analytical and detail-oriented, talented, and dedicated team player who is passionate about research and learning, process-based management, and critical thinking.
TEAM
The Analyst, Learning & Impact, will be an integral member of the Learning & Impact team which supports the entire organisation in their learning needs. The Analyst, Learning & Impact will work closely with and across our global organisation supporting desk research, learning evidence collection and analysis, contract execution, help-desk management, and other administrative functions.
The Analyst, Learning & Impact will be based in either São Paulo, Brazil or Washington, DC and report to the Manager, Learning & Impact. Successful candidates must have the right to work in one of the identified locations. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ideally, the Analyst, Learning & Impact will:
1) Support global Luminate Learning & Impact initiatives
Conduct desk research for research needs arising from the Learning & Impact team or other teams within the organisation; literature review and synthesis of previous work and research
Coordinate sessions with teams on monitoring & evaluation best practices
Support teams in the uploading of evidence to our evidence management software, Coda
Collaborate with teams to process requests on Coda
Carry out high-level descriptive analysis; pinpoint trends and gaps in the evidence; collate early findings for learning purposes
Document periodic learning conversations held for each team; synthesize and highlight lessons learned from learning conversations
2) Contribute to the Learning & Impact team
Execute contract records in Salesforce and liaise with Finance & Operations to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues before finalisation and execution
Build, update and maintain Luminate’s consultant database; conduct due diligence on consultants
Support internal project planning as well as drafting and reviewing of internal and/or external communication products such as reports and blogs
Administer the day-to-day operations of the intranet and our repository of resources to support teams and our partners
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

You have strong motivation and interest in emergent learning practices and research in the areas of democracy and governance
You have desk research and descriptive analysis experience
You excel at project management; you can track multiple work streams concurrently while paying close attention to detail
You have experience efficiently coordinating operations for programs, projects and events, including the ability to work on several projects across multiple geographies and time zones
You have a proven track record of managing competing deadlines, and the ability to exercise good judgement in prioritising tasks
You have prepared slide presentations, written and designed data-driven reports, and supported colleagues on project implementation and process-oriented work
You have great people skills; you possess strong interpersonal skills, and consideration for team dynamics
You are experienced working with Salesforce (or another CRM or grants management platform) and familiar with process management
You are highly comfortable and proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
You have language skills beyond fluent English, and ideally, you have experience living and working in one or more of Luminate’s priority countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, and Nigeria)
