Job Description
We’re looking for an intern that is highly motivated and organized, passionate about NOLS and the mission, excited to share ideas and perspectives, and ready to work independently and as part of a team.
The intern will support the multi-faceted needs of the school, the NOLS Marketing Department, and support the overall schoolwide marketing strategy to advance our mission, our enrollment, and our partner relationships. The intern will work on specific projects and tasks, and have other duties as assigned.

What does a Marketing Intern do?
This role is in our Marketing department. You will be involved in the following activities:
Build out a potential partner directory/database of college and university outdoor programs and schools
Develop surveys and interview students upon the completion of their course for pre-identified market research outcomes
Research and develop a marketing strategy for gap year and semester programs
Create content and deliverables for email marketing campaigns
Support the creation of marketing and outreach materials for key market segments

Knowledge of NOLS programming
In the 3-6 months, you will:
Report to Marketing Manager and participate in weekly one-on-one meetings, attend weekly all-team meetings, participate in other meetings as assigned, and join customer service and lead calls with interested parties
Support the creative of marketing and outreach materials
Conduct marketing research
Identify target schools for NOLS
