Role overview
This role will be focused on Public Digital’s International Development work, which launched last year. This is an opportunity to help lead our engagements with governments and their development partners - particularly in Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa. You’ll also play an important role in helping to grow Public Digital’s partnerships and reputation in this field.
You must be fluent in both French and English to apply, and have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment.
You’ll:
Define and deliver the roadmap for Public Digital’s International Development work. This will involve advising on organisational strategy, growing business development and partnership activities, and conducting research and analysis.
Help lead Public Digital client engagements, developing strong, trusting relationships through remote and on-site working with practitioners and senior officials.
Contribute to building a comprehensive understanding of our clients’ strategic direction, issues and delivery goals.
Assist Public Digital partners and directors with running client relationships, organising regular check-ins, capturing actions and making sure they happen.
Design and deliver research about digital government best practices around the world and/or digital transformation in international development.
Write blog posts or other articles on aspects of digital transformation in international development; attend and speak at public events as a representative of Public Digital.
Contribute to the corporate life and growth of Public Digital as a values-led business.
You’ll have
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Proven ability to work effectively with both decision makers and delivery teams.
Experience working in a digital delivery team - e.g. as a product owner, user researcher, delivery manager or service designer. Alternatively, you might have helped to drive digital transformation and/or institutional reform, e.g. as a policy adviser, bureaucracy-hacker, or programme manager.
Ability to write clearly and concisely to a publishable standard - including about technical concepts.
Professional fluency (written and spoken) in both French and English.
Desirable
Demonstrable passion for digital development, digital government, public service delivery, or organisational change.
Work experience in Francophone Africa.
Business development and/or partnerships experience.

Interview process
The interview process for this role consists of two rounds:
Phone interviews (30 minutes)
One in-person panel interview at the Public Digital office, and one coffee chat with a peer
