Freelance Researcher
The Modern House Ltd
- Closing: 9:56am, 22nd Mar 2022 GMT
Job Description
Part-Time, Freelance Contract (20 hours per week)
Fixed Term: 6 months
Reporting to: Research Coordinator
Rate: £12 per hour
The Modern House and Inigo are looking for enthusiastic, organised and target-driven individuals to join our team of freelance researchers for a fixed term of six months. The successful candidates will be able to spot what makes an Inigo or The Modern House home and will help us grow our database of design-led homes across the UK.
The project will involve working through identified sources (including websites, books, existing databases and exploring certain locations on foot) to find and log postal addresses of relevant homes.
The successful applicants will:
Have an eye for good design, and an ability to understand what makes a property relevant to The Modern House and Inigo.
Work efficiently and in a highly organised manner. They’ll submit work to meet deadlines and targets.
Be self-motivated and able to remain focused on repetitive tasks.
Be competent with Microsoft Excel and quick to learn new systems.
Keep an open dialogue with their line manager with any feedback on sources, time pressures or research queries.
Be proactive in suggesting new sources and operating procedures.
Candidates can be based anywhere across the UK; however, they will need to work from our London office for a one-week paid trial period.
Once the trial period is successfully completed, researchers will have the option to work flexibly for the six-month contract to accommodate other commitments (to be discussed with their line manager in advance). They will need to remotely attend a weekly check-in meeting with the line manager and fellow researchers and respond in a timely manner to emails.
The Modern House and Inigo is proud to provide equal opportunities to all. Every role is open to all individuals regardless of age, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
The deadline to apply for this role is 10:00am on Monday 21st March.
