Job Description
The Executive Secretariat for the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) is seeking an experienced and accomplished carbon markets professional to lead the groundbreaking multi-stakeholder Continuous Improvement Work Programs (CIWPs).
The CIWPs bring together leading carbon market experts and key stakeholders in a collaborative effort to harness existing and emerging best practices and address complex challenges and opportunities facing the carbon market. They address areas where innovative approaches and technological advances will enable the ICVCM to further raise the bar for integrity, and build even stronger, more transparent and robust solutions.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the delivery of thought leadership, innovation and continuous improvement in the VCM through leading and managing CIWPs and effectively translating outputs into written and presentational recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience (likely to be 10+ years) of designing, leading and implementing stakeholder engagement processes and proven and deep technical expertise relating to carbon markets. They will be a recognised effective communicator, capable of simplifying complex concepts, bringing shared understandings from diverse viewpoints and perspectives and will be a skilled public speaker. Fluency in English is essential, with an additional major global language (e.g. Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, Arabic) highly desirable.
This role is fully remote, and can be based in any timezone with at least 4 hours overlap with UK working hours. The salary is advertised in GBP; if you are based in a non-UK location we will discuss a competitive package for your area during the recruitment process.
